On November 29th, the Cleveland chapter of the AIA had a celebration event for their 2018 sponsors held at the Forest City Shuffleboard Arena and Bar. The event was a great opportunity to connect with fellow sponsors and celebrate a great year. MG Shlachter sponsored two events in 2018, the AIA Cleveland Design Awards and the annual Women in Architecture Celebration in March.

Aya Shlachter, Principal of MG Shlachter has been an AIA member for many years and has recently begun sponsoring AIA Cleveland events. Settling in Cleveland, Ohio made her realize that she wanted to support the local architecture community through the AIA and the Women in Architecture (WIA).

“It was so nice of the AIA Cleveland to sponsor such a fun dinner event” Aya said, “It was wonderful to connect with colleagues and sit with the current and the past director. It’s influential women such as these that are paving the way for women in architecture and inspiring all of us to get involved in the profession.”
