Podfest Cleveland Podtour Stop
Recently, I had the privilege of attending the Podfest Cleveland Podtour Stop with Chris Krimitsos, the Founder of Podfest Multimedia Expo and the author of “Start Ugly.” The event was hosted at the magnificent Evergreen Podcasts studios, a stunning new space that perfectly set the stage for an inspiring and informative experience.
This event is part of Chris’ US Podtour to celebrate and invite the public to the 10th-year anniversary of the Podcast Multi-media Expo, a testament to the remarkable journey of the podcasting community. In his 45-minute presentation, Chris Krimitsos delivered a wealth of knowledge and insights, leaving the audience brimming with enthusiasm and new ideas.
Podfest Origin Story
One of the most remarkable aspects of Chris’s story is the growth of Podfest. It’s astonishing to think that it all began with just 13 people and has now evolved into a thriving community of over 2000 passionate podcasters. Chris’s grassroots approach has made the podcasting world more accessible and welcoming to everyone, whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned podcaster looking to expand your horizons.
Finding Community
But it wasn’t just the insights that made this event special; it was the people. It was a pleasure to connect with so many incredible individuals within the podcasting community. I was fortunate to have a private architecture tour of the Evergreen Podcasts studio, courtesy of David Allen Moss, and to meet the seasoned podcaster Dave Jackson from the School of Podcasting. I’ll forever be grateful to Jim Cirillo for his encouragement to start my podcast, and it was a pleasure to finally meet the powerhouse boss, Michael DeAloia. Additionally, I’m thrilled that my fellow Filipina podcaster, Jing Lauengco, will also be attending the upcoming expo. It’s a diverse and welcoming community that continues to grow and thrive.
